JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary / Overview

Groovy Donuts is a small, retro donut and coffee shop that believes each member of our team should work toward our core purpose: Spreading Joy, Building Community and Feeling Groovy!

This position is responsible for packing and delivering our daily wholesale orders, maintaining cleanliness and organization of display cases and acting as an on-site representative of Groovy Donuts while interacting with wholesale clients.  Prepares and packs orders for deliveries using provided packing equipment: disposable gloves, individual packaging, sheet pans, sheet pan boxes, etc.  Works with other team members as needed to fulfill café and special orders.

Essential Functions

1) Prepares and organizes daily wholesale orders

2) Coordinates with bakery lead and café manager to plan and prepare for the packing of each day’s donuts to adequately supply Groovy Donuts’ wholesale partners

3) Packs wholesale orders securely in vehicle for delivery to wholesale partners

4) Acts as a team player, working cooperatively with other bakers, decorators, café and other team members

5) Performs daily maintenance, cleaning and sanitization of wholesale partner display cases

6) Acts as an on-site representative of Groovy Donuts for wholesale partners

Physical Demands
Standard food service cafe; requires standing for long periods of time and moving about the café area as necessary to complete prepping and packing wholesale orders.   

The team member must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 50 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a Part Time position (less than 30 hours per week). Typical working hours range from 5:00am to 8:30am; may vary based on product demand.

Required Education and Experience
Must be 18 years of age, must have a reliable vehicle with current registration and insurance, current driver’s license, ability to work as part of a team and independently.  Requires punctuality, strong attention to detail, organization and interpersonal skills. 

Preferred Education and Experience
1 year delivery experience, customer relations experience.
